- Name the values that drive the plan's main choices and flag every departure from a value or rule with its reason, so the user can refine the values.
Rule§
When grooming a plan, name the values that drive its main choices, and flag every place the plan departs from a value or a rule, with the reason. The user sees what works and where a value pulls the wrong way, and can refine the value — which raises the quality of later work.
Follows from§
- Adjustable control — the human sees the values and boundaries at work and can take control of them.
- Effective human review — the review reads the values in play instead of reverse-engineering them from the plan.
